Greetings from Ulaanbaatar, the capital of Mongolia. Our expert guide will greet you at the airport's Arrival Hall, holding a sign with your name. Then, you will be taken to the hotel. In the morning, you will have breakfast at the hotel, and your private guide and driver will meet you at 9am to go to Terelj National Park. En route, your private guide and driver will take you initially to the “Genghis Khan Statue Complex,” home to the tallest (40m high) equestrian statue globally. You can enter and explore museums, gift shops, and eateries. Afterward, we will visit the national park and observe Turtle Rock - a natural rock structure that resembles a turtle. Additionally, explore the Ariyabal meditation temple - located amidst picturesque mountains. From the summit, you can take in the stunning vista of Terelj National Park. In the evening, go back to Ulaanbaatar and be taken to your hotel.
In the early hours, you will be taken to the city airport for the morning flight to the Gobi Desert (approximately 1.5 hours). Upon reaching your destination, your local tour guide and driver welcome you with a name sign and head towards Bayanzag, meaning 'abundant in saxaul shrubs', which used to be an ancient seabed. This incredible location is better known as 'Flaming Cliffs' and is renowned for numerous Paleontological discoveries. American paleontologists, guided by Roy Chapman Andrews' discoveries, demonstrated to the world that dinosaurs produced eggs. We will investigate the important region, featuring the saxaul trees, and stroll across the red mounds. Dinner and a night stay at the Tourist Ger camp close to Bayanzag. There is a strong opportunity to look at the countless stars at night
Today, we will commence our journey to the remarkable Khongor sand dune at 8am. We will reach the tourist camp approximately at noon. Next, it’s time to unwind at the comfortable Ger camp until the high temperatures of the Gobi drop. In the late afternoon, we will meet a local camel herder family in their ger and discover their distinct way of life and culture. Then mount a camel at the ideal location for camel riding. Mongolia houses two-thirds of the world's Bactrian camels, which have two humps. The upcoming trip is to the lovely green oasis of Seruun Bulag, located near the Khongor River and sand dunes. Next, ascend to the tallest area of the sand dunes known as Singing Dune. Evening meal and stay at the tourist camp for the night
Following a leisurely breakfast, head to the mountain valley called "Yol Valley," which offers striking landscapes. During the journey, you'll stop for lunch in Bayandalai village. At Yolyn Am, you will enjoy nice hikes to reach the gorge's end, which has dense ice formations all year round. The mountains around are inhabited by eagles, elusive wild sheep and ibexes, various birds of prey, and a variety of small rodents
This morning, head to the local airport for a flight to Ulaanbaatar. Your guide and driver collect you and begin the city tour at Gandan Monastery, where you will hear the horns summoning lamas and monks to the temple and observe the daily rituals of the monks. Upon entering the central temple of Gandan, a stunning 26-meter-high gilded statue of Megjid Janraisig will greet you. You will likely observe prayers being offered around the stupa in a clockwise manner. Keep visiting the Museum of Mongolian National History, which showcases Mongolian culture and history from ancient times to the present. Next, we will visit Sukhbaatar Square, situated in the city center and encircled by significant structures like the government palace, banks, theaters, and the post office. Our upcoming attraction is a renowned cultural concert in the city, showcasing traditional acts by singers, dancers, and contortionists. It's a wonderful opportunity to listen to Khöömii (throat singing) and admire some amazing costumes. Dinner takes place in your hotel
