The Golden Eagle Festival is a highly recommended attraction for anyone visiting Asia. This festival serves as a platform to showcase the cultural traditions of the Kazakhs, a Mongolian national minority, to a global audience, and to pass on their legacy to future generations. The Eagle Festival occurs in Bayan Ulgii, a remote western province of Mongolia, during the months of September and October. This September Eagle Festival Tour includes two entire days dedicated to full participation in the festival, as well as an additional day spent visiting the residences of Eagle Hunters, affording a more intimate engagement with both the eagle and its hunter. Opportunities include conversing with the eagle and its hunter, gaining understanding of their distinctive way of life, and capturing photographs. During visits with the Eagle Hunting Kazakh family, visitors can listen to narratives shared by the Eagle hunters and personally engage with the trained eagles. Today offers an opportunity to spend time with a Kazakh family who practices eagle hunting, allowing you to witness their way of life and personally interact with the eagles and their handlers. Later in the day, you will explore the Ulgii Museum and browse the local market.

Today, you spend time with a Kazakh family that hunts with eagles to experience the lifestyle of the eagle hunters and interact directly with both the hunters and their eagles. In the afternoon, you will explore the Ulgii Museum and the market.

The remarkable Golden Eagle Festival begins with a procession of eagle hunters clad in traditional hunting attire, mounted on horses, and carrying their eagles in their right arms. As many as 60 eagle hunters are taking part in the festival. You will have 2 complete days to experience the eagle hunting festival, watch competitions, observe hunting techniques, and admire the Eagles’ agility and skills, along with various nomadic traditions.
